Mentoring Experience

As the exoplanet researcher in an extragalactic astronomy group that operates the Wendelstein Observatory, I have had the privilege of (co-)supervising Master's students who wished to work on exoplanet-related topics with Wendelstein data.

  • Yutong Liu — MSc thesis (2025–2026, co-supervisor with Louise Nielsen): "Line-by-Line Radial Velocity Analysis of Stellar Spectra: Performance, Robustness, and Application to Exoplanetary Signals".
  • Laura Schöller (currently PhD student at MPE) — MSc thesis (2023–2024): "Investigation of TESS Light Curves with Consideration of Stellar Environment and Historical Observations to Distinguish Between Stellar Multiple Systems (EB) and Planets".
  • Khushi Marlecha — MSc thesis (2023–2024, co-supervisor with Arno Riffeser): "TESS Follow-Up Observations with the 3-Kanal Kamera (3KK) on the 2.1m Fraunhofer Telescope".
  • Nicholas Dowling — MSc thesis (2022–2023, co-supervisor with Arno Riffeser): "Photometric TESS Follow-Up Observations with the 43cm Wendelstein Telescope".
  • Juliana Ehrhardt (currently PhD student at ESO) — MSc thesis (2022-2024): "Characterization of Two Hot Jupiter Candidates Found in the TESS Sample Using Spectroscopic Observations Taken with the MaHPS at the USM Observatory at the Mt. Wendelstein".
